PowerCorps Boston Building Operations Cohort #3 Graduation

On April 3rd, 2025, A Better City joined Mayor Wu and the whole PowerCorps Boston (PowerCorpsBOS) team in celebrating the graduation of the fourth PowerCorpsBOS cohort, and the third cohort of the Building Operations Program. Of the 22 total graduates, 12 were in the Building Operations Program. The graduates have spent the last ten months in foundational training, technical training, and in-service learning with the goal of being hired at the end of the program. Of the 12 Building Operations graduates, five have been offered jobs, three have been offered extended internships aimed at full-time employment, one has returned to school, and three are pursuing other opportunities.

A Better City has been a partner with the Building Operations Program since its inception—both in the development and the implementation of the program. We are fortunate to have the support of our members and partners who offer in-service learning that leads to employment opportunities for those in the Building Operations program. In this cohort the building partners were:

  • BioMed Realty (operated by C&W Services)
  • Boston Medical Center
  • Brigham and Women’s Hospital
  • BXP (operated by C&W Services)
  • Carr Properties
  • Equity Residential
  • LC Anderson
  • MIT
  • Northeastern University
  • Related Beal
  • Schneider Electric
  • WS Development (operated by C&W Services)
