A Better City acknowledges that Greater Boston occupies the unceded ancestral, traditional, and contemporary lands of the Massachusett, Pawtucket, Wampanoag, and Nipmuc tribal nations. We pay respect to the people of these tribal nations, past and present, and we honor the land itself, which remains sacred. As we work to build a better city for all, we commit to learning how to be better stewards of the land and better allies for indigenous populations.
