A Better City welcomes AlphaStruxure, a joint venture between The Carlyle Group and Schneider Electric, to their membership community. AlphaStruxure designs, builds, owns, operates, and maintains tailored energy infrastructure. Through a zero-CapEx Energy as a Service model, they enable organizations to achieve ambitious outcomes on greenhouse gas reduction, resilience, reliability, and cost stability. Last year, they broke ground on the Brookville Smart Energy Bus Depot in Montgomery County, Maryland. This depot will enable the transition of 44 diesel buses to electric by providing flexible charging infrastructure that advances the County’s goal to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2035, while delivering resilience to climate events and power outages. With transportation now the largest source carbon emissions in the U.S, AlphaStruxure is excited to explore how this integrated approach to fleet electrification can be applied to both public and private fleets in and around Boston. CEO Juan Macias joins our Board of Directors and several AlphaStruxure team members have already begun to engage with our Advisory Committees.
