"Ch-ching!" - the bell rang, the green light lit up and I was off on my first solo urban bike ride with Hubway. With the wind in my hair and a smile on my face, my ride was a great experience that quickly launched me into a new routine of cycling. But getting to that pivotal ride was not easy - before that came many conversations with friends about biking, a few group rides, LOTs of map-looking, and several outfit changes after discovering Cycle Chic. Even after that first ride, I found out that I had many stages of cycling left to grow into.
Growing into your next step of cycling is what the MassCommute Bicycle Challenge (MCBC) is all about - whether you're trying a group ride, taking your first solo ride, biking a longer distance, or trying a new route. The MCBC, which takes place from May 10-18th, is a free, friendly competition amongst Massachusetts businesses, educational institutions, and municipalities. This exciting corporate challenge has been hosted by MassCommute for the last 20 years and includes prizes, raffles, and our legendary "Bike Bash" celebration.
In celebration of the 20th annual MCBC, ABC TMA will be holding free bike tune-ups to make sure you're geared up and ready to go for the Challenge and a new season of cycling. Join us at the events & challenge yourself to take your next cycling step!
