Sarah joined the A Better City team in March 2014. In her role, she leads all aspects of member relations, including recruitment, engagement, and retention efforts. Additionally, she oversees all marketing and special event planning for the organization, including the planning, fundraising, and execution of the annual Norman B. Leventhal Excellence in City Building Awards and the State of the Built Environment Conference.
Prior to joining A Better City, Sarah served as the Business Manager for the Green Chemistry and Commerce Council at University of Massachusetts-Lowell where she supervised a business-to-business network focused on collaborative efforts to advance sustainability across sectors and supply chains. Sarah has an additional two years of private sector event management, sales, and advertising experience. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Rhode Island.
