Miriam joined A Better City in August 2016 and provides guidance on key energy and environmental issues, developed and maintains a strategic and impactful policy agenda, and represents A Better City and its interests in collaboration with state and local officials, public sector staff, and other stakeholders. Previously, Miriam worked in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy’s Energy and Environment division, where she helped implement the Obama Administration’s policy and initiatives.

She served for four years at the U.S. Department of Energy, working on energy resilience, infrastructure security, and energy restoration activities. She holds a Master of Public Administration and a Certificate in Energy Management and Policy from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Policy from Case Western Reserve University.
